In the second book of Alyson Noel's amazing series, the magic of the story really gets going.
With the magical twins, Romey and Rayne, to the good or bad Immortal, Roman, who may or may not be able to cure Damen of the strange disease.
Alyson Noel crafts this story even further as she adds obstacles that seem impossible to overcome and a new character who seems to be able to do more than he should and no more than he should, but Ever is the only one to notice. Is she just being paranoid or is there more to Roman?
With spice, drama, mystery, and intrigue, Alyson Noel will have you wondering late into the night what might happen and ho might be wrong. This book leaves you breathless with every page.

I would probably give this book 3.5 stars. Maybe.
There were parts of this book that I really enjoyed and other parts that bugged me. I liked getting a better look at Summerland a lot. I thought the Temple of Great Learning (or whatever it's called-the name wasn't the best) was pretty neat. I enjoyed the scenes that took place there the most. I finally got to learn a little about Damen and Damen and Ever's past lives, which I was hoping would be shown in this book. However, I stress 'a little' because Damen's story was cut off right in the middle in the stupidest way.
Ever can be so annoying at times. I mean, I know all characters should have flaws in order to round them out but the two main flaws that Ever apparently has are her impulsiveness and her naivete, which are just about the worst two flaws she could possibly have for the situations she finds herself in. I still like her for the most part, at least. She comes across as a very real teenager. But the problem is, that after everything she's been through and is still going through, you'd think she'd have matured a bit and would start acting smarter. However, she continues to be a normal 16-year-old who obsesses over very meaningless and superficial things (like the very slim possibility of her teacher dating her aunt. I mean, come on Ever, you have far more important things to worry about!).
The ending was so awful. But I don't mean awful as in stupid and poorly done but awful for the characters. I'm worried about how this new development will affect the spark in Ever and Damon's relationship because I never really felt much between them as it was.

Ever and Damen's relationship seems to be going perfectly... until Damen starts getting sick. But wait, Immortals are... immortal. They're not supposed to get sick, ever. Everything seems to start spiraling the wrong way... Haven and Miles are distancing, the walls between school cliques are crumbling, uniting everybody, and Damen is not only sick, but has forgotten who Ever is. This all seems to be connected to one guy: Roman. Roman is a luring, hot, and cunning character who seems to be open and cheery on the outside, but Ever has a gut feeling that there is something very, very wrong about him. She just can't figure out what.
Ever goes to Ava, another psychic, for answers. She's not Immortal, and doesn't know the truth about Ever and Damen. Ever and Ava go to Summerland, the magical world that's a paradise for Ever. There she seeks answers from the Great Halls of Learning, but most of the time they're cryptic messages.
While Ever believed she had all the time in the world with Damen, she is now racing against time to find a cure to save her soul mate, but he's wasting away so quickly, there may be only one solution: to go back in time and keep everything from happening.
Ever seems much more mature in this one, having to deal with the evil-doings of others and her own mistakes. She has to make a huge decision which will literally change the entire course of her life. The ending left me at a cliffhanger, so I went out and checked out Shadowland the next morning!

Again we meet Ever, who has just begun her life with Damen. She is trying to learn everything she can about her new life, but just as Ever grows stronger, Damen begins getting weaker. His memory, powers, and life are slowly slipping away. Desperate to save him, Ever returns to Summerland alone searching for answers. Instead, she is given the chance to go back and save her family, or to save Damen's life.
In this exciting follow-up to Evermore, we are taken on yet another journey. We delve into Damen's hidden past and journey alone into Summerland. This book is a 5 out of 5 and anyone could get into a series like this!

Blue Moon picks off where Evermore leaves off, the love that was ignited in Evermore blossoms in Blue Moon. We meet a new face here in Blue Moon and Ever is instantly put off by him. She sees theres something up with Roman, though shes not sure what it is. Then once Damon and her friends start acting weird she dosnt hesitate to point the finger at Roman. What has happend to Damon? Has he lost his love for Ever? or is someone manipulating him? Will Ever be able to make everything go back to normal or will she make things worse? Like I said this is a great sequel to a great series. Once you read this one you will have to get you hands on the next!

I personally liked this much better than the first book. I found Evermore to be too much like Twilight and not original enough. I was hesitant to read Blue Moon at first, but I'm glad I did. This book is definitely more interesting. There was more explanation. There was also the addition of a few new intriguing characters. It was less predictable.
If you were discouraged by the first book, as I was, you will not be disappointed by the sequel.

A book full of surprises, I really like it. It was great.
It has the perfect combination of love, suspense, intrigue and all that makes it wonderful.
I absolutely think it was awesome, and I was completely absorbed by the letters, I was almost yelling: -Listen to Rain, Ever, don´t trust in him!!, but... well we´ll see what happens now.
I can´t wait to read Shadowland

In Blue Moon we find Ever and Damen happily in love! She has given up everything to be with him forever and even that doesn't seem like long enough for her. A new character comes in to this book and flips everything around. Ever doesn't like him from the start but does not know why. And for some reason Damen is getting sick which he NEVER does. The whole school turns against her which includes her friends and even Damen. She doesn't know what is going on but is desperate to find the answer to why one day they were in love and the next Damen seems to be dieing and has turned into the typical teenage boy. She takes comfort in Ava and they set off to find the cure to treat her one and only love. She has to make a choice though.. Does she stay and be with Damen forever? or if given the chance does she go back and save her family? I really enjoyed this book but it did not seem to be as great as the first one. The ending is frustrating and you just want to yell at Ever. It does leave it open for another book which I will be sure to get and hope that its better than this one.

Blue Moon
Alyson Noel
Release Date: July 7th 2009
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffith
Pages: 256
Rating: 5 stars
Eager to learn everything she can about her new abilities as an Immortal, Ever turns to her beloved Damen to show her the way. But just as her powers are increasing, Damens are waning. In an attempt to save him, Ever travels to the magical dimension of Summerland, where she learns the secrets of Damens tortured past; a past which he has always kept hidden from her. But in her quest to cure Damen, Ever discovers an ancient text that details the workings of time. Now Ever must chose between turning back the past and saving her family from the accident that claimed their livesor staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows sicker every day...
I was a little nervous when I first picked up Blue Moon, because I had so many expectations for the sequel to Evermore. Blue Moon met all of them, and more! I loved it! I got it for my birthday, and read straight through. Blue Moon was definately not what I expected; there were so many twists and turns that had me guessing in every direction.
The old characters are back, with the addition of new ones that you aren't sure exactly what their motivations behind their actions are. I love Mile; he's so fun to read about.
The way Ever treats Roman towards the end drove me nuts though, it was completely out of charater! The ending of Blue Moon definately has me begging for book 3, Shadowland! With that ending, I'm dying to know what Alyson Noel has in store for Ever and Damen.
